During 18-20th July 2023, the Central Tibet Administration (CTA) and V-TAG brought together over one hundred participants for the International Tibetan Youth Forum (ITYF). The ITYF was created to empower young Tibetans’ advocacy skills while learning about Tibetan history and international relations from renowned authorities.
Amongst many other respected speakers, we had jurist Dr. Michael Van Walt Van Praag join the forum to teach attendees about the history of Tibetan advocacy. As well as Geshe Lhakdor, Director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives who spoke on the importance and development of Tibet’s unique culture and identity.
The forum then centred around workshops and group discussions which culminated in a collective V-TAG action plan and declaration written by the attendees.
