What sets us apart from other Tibetan organizations is our commitment to nurturing the leadership potential of Tibetan youth, ensuring they are at the forefront of our mission. As well as the diversity and skills of our members and the unique positioning of our organization between all our stakeholders which helps us work towards our mission.

We aim to use this strength to complement the efforts of existing Tibetan organizations by identifying and implementing practices that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in our advocacy efforts. Our unique approach involves forming strategic partnerships with key players like the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and organizations such as Students for a Free Tibet (SFT).

Together, we launch advocacy initiatives like the Human Rights Global Virtual Advocacy Campaign’ which reached 60,000 social media accounts raising global awareness on the ongoing human rights issues conducted by the Chinese Communist Party in Tibet. As well as initiatives which aim to educate, such as the SFT-led ‘Mobilise for Tibet’ workshop which brought together inexperienced youth with seasoned activists to discuss best activism practices and how to start grassroot initiatives.

Empowering Tibetan Youth for Effective Tibet Advocacy

V-TAG youth members in their traditional 'Chuba' clothes ready to advocate for Tibet by meeting with government officials.

We provide training in both in-person and online formats, focusing on professional development and advocacy techniques tailored to regional needs. These sessions equip participants with essential advocacy skills and a basic understanding of how community leaders make decisions and manage local issues.

Armed with this knowledge, participants are prepared to carry out targeted, informed, and efficient advocacy actions. Whether it’s local fundraising, influencing parliamentary resolutions, or amplifying Tibet’s presence in the media, V-TAG’s activities are expansive and rooted in action.
